I
congratulate R. W. Bro. Mohan Wanigatunga on his installation
as the second Provincial Grand Master of Sri Lanka.
I wish him well in this office, and trust that he
will be able to encourage and inspire more entrants
in to our Province.
The concept of a Province of Irish Freemasonry in
Sri Lanka was the brain child of the late R. W. Bro.
B. K. Billimoria. Unfortunately he was called to the
Grand lodge above, before the fruition of the Province.
However, he set the wheels in motion, to which end
the fourth Irish Lodge necessary to constitute a Province,
Serendib Lodge No. 905, was formed. I was installed
as its first Worshipful Master.
Eventually, it fell to my lot to be installed as the
first Provincial Grand Master, and had the honor and
the privilege of steering the fledging Province through
the first ten years of its existence.
I now hand over the Province to R. W. Bro. Mohan Wanigatunga,
confident that he is a fit and proper person to guide
the Province from strength to strength.
Rt.
W. Brother Colonel. Ramalingam Harindran,
Honorary Past Grand Deacon,
Past Provincial Grand Master,
Provincial Grand Lodge of Sri Lanka.
